Restore it with care-as you always do.

It certainly is a most important item, and I know that sentiment quite well myself. It is a treasure that will give you more than function, but a sentiment to cling to when the going gets even tougher.

Thank you for this post, bro, I really love it.Fimbulmyrkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00316598554062505274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1064475132865338563.post-9794744376183266722012-09-25T22:51:13.718+03:002012-09-25T22:51:13.718+03:00Thanks gentlemen / Kiitos arvon herrat.
Ron, well...Thanks gentlemen / Kiitos arvon herrat.

Ron, well thats pretty much how i think ill be doing, restoring, excluding the clear coat on the handle. I sure want to keep all the patina on the knife, as they are part of its history and story, and as its a knife from my dad and grandpa, i cant see it as a knife only, you know. It has also sentimental value, and even as i dont have any kids, nor will have, our bloodline stops here if you ask me.....i still might find a person who appreciates the sentimental value of the knife as the time comes. I really dont want to see it being passed on to some moron who rapes it all the way :)Perkunashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18428829268665731168noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1064475132865338563.post-38275131613918955782012-09-25T21:51:18.454+03:002012-09-25T21:51:18.454+03:00I'd say restore to it's original state as ...I'd say restore to it's original state as close as possible and honour your father and grandfather by using it, not abusing it.
And than, in the distant future, you might be able to pass it on, again.
Factorymade or not, it has becomne a personal object, right?Ronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16946366944260726006noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1064475132865338563.post-143578887286173322012-09-25T19:10:39.463+03:002012-09-25T19:10:39.463+03:00Tässä tapauksessa tehdastekoisuudella ei oo paskan...Tässä tapauksessa tehdastekoisuudella ei oo paskankaan välii:) Komee leukuErkki Aaltonenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12992365730259977177noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1064475132865338563.post-49788631710866931472012-09-25T19:08:48.503+03:002012-09-25T19:08:48.503+03:00Tässä tapauksessa, mun mielestä "tehdastekoi...Tässä tapauksessa, mun mielestä "tehdastekoisuudella" ei oo paskankaan välii:)Erkki Aaltonenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12992365730259977177noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1064475132865338563.post-88106052239402248482012-09-25T06:59:52.810+03:002012-09-25T06:59:52.810+03:00Magee leukku :) Toivotaan että saapuu viel turvall...Magee leukku :) Toivotaan että saapuu viel turvallisesti perille sun luokse. :)Akirihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14127757581372151659noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1064475132865338563.post-90292909712950981132012-09-25T03:01:58.213+03:002012-09-25T03:01:58.213+03:00I've always felt that careful use was the most...I've always felt that careful use was the most honorable life for nearly any older item.Gorges Smythehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08777621500611603786noreply@blogger.com
