Bahco Laplander´s new clothing

So,i ´ve been bit on flu and fever but i cant stay put, i just have to craft a little.

Todays condition allowed me to craft this leather belt sheath for my folding saw. Yep,its back in black, again, sorry folks. I just know that most of my other belt carry sheaths and pouches are mostly in black leather so this fits in with em on the belt just nicely, i think.

Or something like that. Whatever well done is in Finnish.

SBW,

Yes i think i did that, wet form is a term i am not familiar with though, but i soaked the leather and stretced and pressed in better shape as i sewed it.

Exploriment,

You type your finnish so well in a wrong way that i could swear that you know how to type it right :)

Thanks for both of you gents !

Black goes well with a green saw handle!

Hey man, there's nothing wrong with black. :) It looks good, and like you said, it matches your other sheaths, etc.

Well done!

Thanks gentlemen, i really like to hear your opinions.

Bmatt, heh. well it wasnt aimed to you personally at all :). I see, though, a lot of speeches for natural colours but i find it great that man can dye his gear even in pink if he chooses to do so. Nothing wrong with anyones decisions, and i respect every man that does a little DIY once in a while,if he can, no matter what he does.

I have a laplandish sami belt coming right up,its bit customised compared to most seen here on shops. I got my friends friend make it to me,as he does em professionally in lapland so he knows a bit about em. I asked him to drop off any clues and suggestions off, from the belt as the rivet patterns and colours do really tell more about its carrier, than the usual tourist even knows of. So,as i only have roots in lapland, and i am not a sami or anything, the tribe descripting rivet patterns and colurs are dropped off. In a word it is a totally black belt with simplified riveting, very suitable for southern Finland creature like me. And these last few black leathergoods are made to fit into that belt.

Sure, I think people should make things the way they want them to be. If I mention that I like something (like darker brown leather), it's just my personal preference. :)

If everyone made everything the same way, it would be boring! I'm happy to see lots of variety in equipment and skills.
